Engraver’s copy of the String Quartet, Opus 131, in hand of Wenzel Rampl, with Beethoven’s autograph title page and corrections throughout. Full score in two scribal hands in brown ink with Beethoven’s alterations throughout in brown and black ink and silverpoint, 14 staves (20 staves for last movement), with a complete set of the original mss. choral, vocal, and trombone parts also marked by Beethoven, 575 p. in all: score in 3 v., 465 p., oblong quarto (23.5 x 30 cm.) and oblong folio (27 x 40 cm.), 12-, 14-, 16-, and 20-staves, contemporary mottled blue boards, manuscript labels); parts in folder of disbound folio leaves (26 x 26 cm.), 110 p. total.
