Author Wendy Duong introduces the Vietnamese translation of her new book, Postcards from Nam. The program includes art exhibits and 10 minutes of musical prelude introducing the traditional music of Vietnam.
The author will discuss various themes raised in her book, including the "postcards" motif, the interconnection of various art forms as recordings of the human experience and need for cultural identity. The author will also explore the interplay between Art and Life in the context of the Vietnamese American immigration experience. Program concludes with book signing and light refreshment.
