Affordable Learning Solutions Workshop (Part 2) - Naomi Moy on the ALS Experience at Dominguez Hills
SJSU students spend an average of $1,746 annually on required classroom material, a considerable percentage of the total cost they spend on their education. To help students cut their expenses, the CSU Chancellor’s Office created the Affordable Learning Solutions (ALS) initiative. Affordable Learning Solutions is designed to provide faculty and students with information on how to reduce the cost of required textbooks and other classroom material by providing information on low-cost and no-cost sources available in a digital format.
On December 7, 2011 a one-day workshop on the Affordable Learning Solutions initiative was held at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. This segment of the workshop features Naomi Moy who is the Director of Reference Services at Dominguez Hills. Naomi Moy discusses her experiences with the ALS initiative at Dominguez Hills.
