Open Access and Digital Repository Forum - Whither IRs?: Reflections from the UC Experience
On May 25, 2011 a one-day conference on Digital Repositories was held at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library. This engaging program includes speakers who presented on issues in scholarly communication, such as author rights, electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs), marketing digital repositories, and the potential of open access repositories as a publishing venue. This segment of the program features Catherine Candee who has a 10+ year affiliation with the University of California leading strategic publishing. In April 2011 Catherine joined bepress as Vice-President for Marketing and Community Engagement.
