Since its founding in 1857 as a State Normal School, San José State University has provided a stellar education, and the library has played a key role in contributing to the university’s growth and success over the years.

Today, SJSU King Library serves the university’s 35,000 graduate and undergraduate students, providing reference, research support, and late-night tutoring online. Print books and equipment such as laptops and calculators are available through contact-free lockers, and we have increased our digital collections, from databases to streaming videos to ebooks.
