
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Library Research Scholars Program offers SJSU students a unique, paid research experience that spans Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. Program participation across both semesters is required. Under the supervision and guidance of experienced faculty librarians, students selected for the program will learn structured and organized approaches to conducting research.
COMPONENTS OF LRSP
- Work Hours: Up to 10 hours per week to learn and research alongside a librarian.
- Cohort Meetings: All program participants are required to attend scheduled meetings to learn the various stages and elements involved in the entire research process, from initial conception to final dissemination.
- Mentorship and Work Experience: Students will support the research project of their faculty librarian mentor. The current list of projects are described below.
- Final Product of Research: In consultation with their librarian faculty mentor, students may have the option to become co-authors and co-presenters of the research work.
