Reaxys is an expert-curated database that provides comprehensive data on chemical structures, compounds, properties, and reactions, along with associated literature and patent information. The data originates from the Gmelin Handbook of Inorganic Chemistry, the Beilstein Handbuch der organischen Chemie, inorganic and organic scholarly journals, and a Patent Chemistry database. Web of Science is a citation database that covers three major tools: Science Citation Index Expanded, Social Sciences Citation Index, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index. The complete database covers thousands of scholarly journals from 1975 to the present across a broad range of disciplines.

The Royal Society of Chemistry publishes peer reviewed journals that cover the chemical sciences and related fields. The library subscribes to some of the journals from RSC. Others are available as open access.
