Citation methods are very  detailed. In addition to the style manuals, here are some resources you can use to learn more about citing correctly:

• Citation Managers LibGuide — Citation managers are programs that allow users to collect, organize, and cite sources. This helpful guide contains information on how to get started with the citation managers Zotero and PaperPile.
