LGBT Studies

Guide to library resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender studies

Queers of Color

These resources explore the emerging topic of minorities in the LGBT community, also known as queers of color.  When searching for books and articles related to gay and lesbian minorities, be sure to search using different term combinations.  Remember, ethnic and minority groups may appear under a variety of labels, as will terms describing different aspects of the LGBT community (homosexual, gay, LGBT, transgender, etc.).

Keyterms: Using the term Gay, Lesbian, Queer, or Homosexual, include the ethnic group, i.e. Chicano, Latino, Hispanic, Asian American, Chinese, Japanese, Black, African American, etc.
