About the Digital Humanities Center
The King Library Digital Humanities Center is a partnership between the San José State University Library, the College of Humanities and Arts, and the San José Public Library.
Our Mission
The mission of the King Library Digital Humanities Center (DHC) is to foster human connection, promote knowledge, and inspire action through critical engagement with digital technologies.
Our Values
- Inclusion and Trust
- The DHC nurtures new collaborations and deep engagement within and across communities.
- Social Justice and Action
- The DHC connects the past and present to work towards a more just and equitable future.
- Critical Digital Literacy
- The DHC activates curiosity and reflection on the histories, power dynamics, and possibilities embedded in technologies.
Community Conversations
In Spring of 2024 the DHC partners conducted a series of community conversations which shaped the development of the center. The Digital Humanities Center Community Conversations report summarizes and shares what we learned from those conversations about how the center can serve the SJSU and San José communities.
